St. Bede's Books Customer Service

1. How Do I Pay for My Order?
For your convenience, we offer several ways to order and pay for your purchases at St. Bede's:

  • Online with Credit Card: We use the secure servers at PayPal to process your credit card orders. No financial information is retained by St. Bede's. When you select this option, you leave our site, and the transaction takes place on the PayPal servers. Please note that it's no longer necessary to be a member of PayPal to use their services. You can simply provide them with your information.
  • Online with Check or Money Order: Your personal check is welcome. We will wait for the check to clear before shipping your order. We will hold your order for ten days to allow you time to mail your check; after that, it will be returned to the store. U.S. Postal Service Postal Money Orders can be used in the United States only.
  • Order by Phone: Simply complete your order and call us at 410-243-1727 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m, Eastern Time (U.S.), Tuesday through Friday or 10-2 on Saturday. Please have your credit card ready.
  • OVERSEAS NOTES: Your personal check is also welcome. Please contact us to arrange for the order. We'll calculate the total using the exchange rates posted at Concierge.com and let you know the total.

2. When Will I Receive My Order?
United States orders are shipped by United Parcel Service, Ground, as soon as they are received. In the unlikely event that some part of your order is out of stock, we'll contact you to let you know when it will become available. If you have not received your order within ten days, please let us know.

3. What About Returns?
Within 30 days of receipt of your order, a full refund will be issued provided you return the item in good condition with your receipt. If the item was damaged, you may opt for an exchange. After 30 days, items may be returned for a store credit only.

4. I'm Looking for Something Unusual
We specialize in special orders. Use the Inquiry form to tell us what you're looking for, or give us a call at 410-243-1727. We're happy to look for out-of-print books, too.

5. I'm Concerned About My Online Privacy
So are we! We take extreme care to safeguard your personal information. Here's our privacy policy:
We store only the minimum amount of information from you necessary to make a transaction. We never store your credit card details. If you use your credit card to make a purchase, the entire transaction is handled by the secure servers at PayPal where payments are handled.

Your personal details will never be passed on to a third party. We will never give your email address to a third party.

Cookies: When you log in to St. Bede's we place a small piece of information, a cookie, on your machine. This is necessary so that we can track your shopping cart selections between pages and that we know you are logged in to St. Bede's. None of your personal information is stored in this cookie and it is removed from your machine as soon as you logout of the site. You will need to have cookies enabled on your browser in order to use the St. Bede's Books online catalog.
